Julie and Phil started American Made Tattoo in late 2006, after Phil had spent years as a tattoo artist. They had a vision that their shop would be different than most and they worked hard giving it a unique ambience. But they hadn%26apos;t planned for marketing and found themselves waiting for customers when they came to us for help. We designed a new website, implemented a low cost but very effective print campaign and came up with a plan to get them noticed in a big way. We played off their name %26quot;American Made%26quot; and came up with a %26quot;signature%26quot; tattoo; a red, white and blue ribbon to honor veterans. Phil and Julie agreed to give the tattoos for free the week of Veteran%26apos;s Day and we got busy sending out the press releases. The local TV news, radio and newspaper quickly arranged for interviews and our plan became %26quot;news%26quot;. Without spending a dime on advertising, American Made Tattoo became known in the community. People were lined up for the free tattoo to honor a loved one during a very special week.
